Sisterhood Inc Movie Review

I love books and movies about sisters, so I was very excited to check out the new movie Sisterhood, Inc on the Hallmark Channel. It’s part of the Loveuary series that came out in February 2025. It’s about an older sister who tries to help her younger sister figure out her life. And in the meantime, she just might happen to find love for herself. If this sounds like a movie you’d be interested in, keep reading for my full Sisterhood Inc movie review.

What is Sisterhood, Inc on Hallmark Channel About?

Corporate exec Megan starts a board of directors to improve her younger sister’s chaotic life and finds romance with a psych professor who uncovers her tough demeanor. Starring Rachael Leigh Cook, Daniella Monet and Leonidas Gulaptis.

The Main Cast

I love Rachael Leigh Cook and Daniella Monet so I was excited to see them play sisters! The two of them are as different as night and day. Megan (played by Rachel Leigh Cook) is a corporate exec. She’s very type a and has a specific way of doing things. Meanwhile, Izzy is a free spirited and free wheeling woman. She likes to live in a more… spontaneous way than her older sister.

The Premise

When Megan is let go from her job, she is at a loss. Her work means everything to her, and she’s lost without the organization and focus of her daily routine. When she visits her family for dinner and realizes what a mess her younger sister is, she opens her mouth and goes on a tirade about how if she could take over Izzy’s life and start making  decisions for her, she would seriously improve her sister’s life.

It’s ambitious. But Izzy is willing to take the risk. She asks Megan if she’ll seriously do it. So Megan puts together a board who will help to shape Izzy’s life and vote on all the decisions along the way.

I thought this was such a funny idea for a movie. It made me laugh when the board got together for the first time and started presenting their ideas on how to help Izzy find a new job, new apartment, new sense of style, new boyfriend, and more!

I liked Megan a Lot!

She’s very type A. But while she’s very particular, she’s also very sweet. One of her main conflicts is that she doesn’t really feel like a part of her family because her mom and her younger sister are so close. I related to her a lot and felt that even thought she did go overboard sometimes, she really did try to have her sister’s best interests at heart. Sometimes you just want someone for someone so bad, that you lose track of what’s really important.

This Movie was Sweet, but also Really Funny

When Izzy gets a new job as a receptionist at an art gallery, the board was ecstatic for her. One night Megan gathers everyone together and they go on a field trip to the art gallery to watch Izzy in action. She looks great and she’s doing a great job but something that Megan didn’t account for is that their Mom would show up at the gallery as well.

This scene was so funny to me. I loved watching all of the board members take in the different displays of modern art. Their reactions were so funny. And when Megan and Izzy’s mom mistakes board member Dominic as Megan’s new boyfriend? Well… things get a little awkward.

In The End

I think what made this story so cute is that it focuses on Megan finding out what (and who) truly makes her happy, but it’s also about getting in touch with her family again. Before their project together, Megan and Izzy hardly spent any time together. And so it was nice to see the sisters get to spend time together and get to know each other, as adults.

Megan’s Mom explained to her that because she is so put together, she just assumed that she didn’t need any help. And I think that’s a mistake that a lot of parents make. Just because your child seems like they have everything put together doesn’t mean they don’t need or want you. Sometimes it’s just easier for the parents to focus on the disaster child rather than the good child, and it shouldn’t be like that.

I Would Recommend This Movie

To fans of Hallmark channel who like movies that are romantic, but are also about family. I think this film did a really good job of touching on many different aspects in Megan’s life. The only thing that would have made it better would be to have Megan and Izzy roller skate together in the end! Lol.

This was a really fun movie so I hope you enjoyed my Sisterhood Inc Movie Review!
