Reading Update: Spring 2026

When I look back at the past few months, I’ve been having a great time with my books. That doesn’t always happen. But I guess I’ve just been really good at picking what books to read this Spring!

I’ve been focusing a lot on upcoming book releases because I have some review copies from Netgalley that I need to catch up on. So I thought I’d pop in today to share a brief overview of what I’ve been reading – because you won’t see some of these reviewed until later this Summer!

What Have I Been Reading?

Normally, I try to write a wrap up post at the end of the month. But March and April were a little busy with my job, as well as our New Orleans Trip. In March I read Almost Ruined, Hot Girls Murder Club, and Yesteryear.

In April I read Dogs, Boys, and Other Things I’ve Cried About as well as Helpless. We still have a few days until the end of the month so I might finish my current read, How to Find Love in the Cereal Aisle. I’ve also been listening to the audiobook of Famesick by Lena Dunham. It’s always good to have an audiobook in progress for my nightly walks.

What are my Reading Goals Right Now?

Right now, I am focusing on catching up on my review copies. I have so many great arcs that I have received from Netgalley. And the publication dates are quickly approaching. So right now I’m trying to tackle that list in the best way I can.

What’s next on my TBR List?

Well, as I mentioned my review list is getting quite long. Lol. Some upcoming books I have to review are:

  • How to find love in the Cereal Aisle (August 4, 2026)
  • The Night Bus (May 19, 2026)
  • Pretty Dead Things (July 7, 2026)
  • The Dating Game (September 8, 2026)
  • Back Where We Started (October 13, 2026)
  • Safari Murder Party (May 19, 2026)
  • Five-Star Summer (May 5, 2026)

So after I finish my current book, I’m going to move on to the May releases! I’m really looking forward to Five-Star Summer because I really enjoyed Sarah Morgan’s last book.

Bookish Things I’m Looking Forward To

  • The television adaptation of The Five-Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand. It appears that the show will be released on July 16, 2026 so I’m really looking forward to that. Loved the book.
  • Phoebe Dynevor and Patrick Schwarzenneger were cast as January and Gus in the Beach Read movie. I’ve read a lot of discourse online and people seem upset with the Gus casting. But you know what? I think it will be good. I always imagined Gus as a little preppy (maybe because of what he writes? Idk) and so I think Patrick is well suited for the role.
  • The Margo’s Got Money Troubles show was just released on Apple. But they only released the first 3 episodes. So I’m looking forward to diving back into that as soon as I can!

In Conclusion

That’s all I have for now! I’m writing this post on a Sunday and I have a lot to do. I have laundry to fold, and I’m hoping to work out and get some reading done letter.

Wishing you all a very good start to the week!
