What I’m Watching: Spring 2026 Edition

It is a beautiful time to be a consumer of television. I just said this to my fiancé last week. There are just so many good shows being released. Especially right now, when a majority of what I’m watching is the new shows that I already love!

Dave will listen to me talk about some of them. And I also enjoy discussing TV with my friends at work. But I have a lot more opinions I need to get off my chest. So keep reading for my full thoughts and opinions on what I’ve been watching lately. Please note: I will be discussing the shows in general, but not going into any specific plot points. I do not want to spoil these shows for anyone who hasn’t had the chance to watch them yet.

The Pitt

Season 2 of The Pitt was different than Season 1. And I think that’s a good thing. They covered a lot of different stories this season and all of them were eye opening to me. One of the biggest stories was Robbie and his mental health, which felt a little heavy handed at times. I hope that his character gest the rest that he needs because he was very nasty at a lot of points this season, and I don’t enjoy disliking him.

What else can I say? The cast of this show is so great. I love how we got to see a different side of many of the characters this season. The friendship that is developing between Dr. King and Dr. Santos has a special place in my heart! Lol. And of course Whitaker is also a fave.

If you enjoyed Season 1, I think you’ll enjoy this season too. It’s different but in a good way.

Survivor 50

I started watching Survivor with my family when I was a kid, so this show holds a special place in my heart too. This Season is a big one because they are celebrating 50 seasons of Survivor. The cast is all people who have played before and so it’s very interesting to see how they strategize, using past experiences to guide them.

I love that the host Jeff Probst seems to be having so much fun. There are some twists this season that I don’t really like, and I hate the celebrity incorporation into the show. But for the most part, it’s good. Dave and I are having a lot of fun watching this season.

Euphoria

Guys, I don’t know what to say about this one. I’ve been watching Euphoria Season 3 and it’s not good, but I also can’t look away. It’s like I have to know what happens to these characters. Otherwise I’m always going to wonder. We’re only on Episode 3 (which I think airs this weekend, as I write this) so maybe I will report back when the season is over.

Probably not. I probably won’t want to talk about it. Heh.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles

This is a new show on Apple based off the book of the same name by Rufi Thorpe. I reviewed it on my blog not that long ago.

I’ve watched the first 3 episodes so far, and they were very good. With a cast including Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nick Offerman, you really can’t go wrong. The story is more emotional than I expected, even though I did read the book. Elle Fanning does such a good job of displaying the difficulties of new motherhood, especially when you’re on your own.

I can’t wait for the rest of the show to drop so that I can finish this endearing series.

Hacks

The fifth and final season of Hacks has just been released on HBO Max, although I believe they are releasing 1 episode per week. I haven’t started this yet, but I know it’s going to be great. I’m a little sad for such a fantastic show to finally be over. Once I finish one of my other shows I will move onto this one.

Youtube Channels & Podcasts

During the Pandemic I got really into watching Youtube. I think I watched Youtube casually in the 2010’s, but during 2020 it became a more frequent source of entertainment for me. Weirdly enough, the first Youtube drama that I got really invested in was when Chris Hansen had his Youtube channel where he was trying to bring down Onision.

What a time. I don’t think anything ever came of that, unfortunately.

I’ve gone through many niches and interests, but I tend to gravitate towards long form commentary and podcasts. Some of my favorite podcasts channels are:

I also really enjoy video essays and long form content about a variety of topics including books, pop culture, anti mlm, influencers, and more. Some of my favorite longform youtube channels are;

And there are more! But these are channels that I will generally watch anything that they put out because it’s well produced, quality content.

Do you have any Recommendations?

Let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for interesting things to watch or listen to. I go on a lot of walks with my dog (and on my own) and like to listen to podcasts or youtube videos while I’m out and about. I also listen to them while I’m at the gym or doing chores around the house.
