September Reading Wrap Up

This month was interesting because I spent a week of it on Vacation! If you haven’t read my vacation recap blog post, you can do so here. I had a couple of Fall Themed Cozy Mysteries that I wanted to read, as well as listened to a few audiobooks that I had checked out from Libby.

What Books did I Read in September?

  1. Back to School Murder by Leslie Meyer
  2. Saint X by Alexis Schaitkin
  3. Love Lettering by Kate Claybourn
  4. Golden Girl by Elin Hilderbrand
  5. 28 Summers by Elin Hilderbrand (in progress)

Breakdown by Type

In September I read 1 hard copy, 1 eBook and 3 audiobooks.

I put myself on the wait list on Libby for a couple of different Elin Hilderbrand audiobooks and the waitlist was over a month for every book! Lol. But I got really lucky and two of my holds became available this month so I’ve had some fun books to listen to while I go on my evening walks with Hazel.

The fair was in town last week and our parking lot was closed at work for people who were going to the fair, so I would up walking to the office Monday thru Thursday which gave me some extra listening time (and steps!) as well.

Breakdown by Genre

  • 1 cozy mystery
  • 1 thriller
  • 3 romance/women’s fiction

My Thoughts

It was a great reading month! As I mentioned earlier, I did quite a bit of reading while I was at the beach during the first week of September. I’ve also really been enjoying my Elin Hilderbrand audiobooks. I hope to keep working my way through her backlist during the rest of this year, and next year in 2024.

Back to School Murder wasn’t my favorite cozy mystery ever, but it was unique at least. You can read my full review here. And I will have book review for the rest of the books I mentioned in the upcoming weeks. I’ve been working to schedule all of my blog content on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday so that I can keep a consistent content schedule for my blog readers.

I’m looking forward to reading even more audiobooks next month! And I also have some plans for some netgalley review copies that I want to catch up on. But more on that soon!
