I was always hesitant about daily mood trackers. I liked the idea of them in theory, but it seemed like a habit that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with. So I never gave it a try. But I changed my mind recently and created this monthly mood tracker to help me assess my month. And throughout the process, I really found out how many benefits there are to tracking your mood.

Habit trackers collect a lot of data, but data about my mood wasn’t something I ever cared about before. It seemed meaningless. But after using my monthly mood tracker for a month, I had a change of heart. Coloring in the boxes on my tracker made me feel relaxed.

At the end of the month you can look back on your emotional state for the month and track your mental health.

I’m a visual learner, so it’s helpful for seeing a visual representation in different colors of my different mood changes. As I mentioned earlier, using different colors or symbols will help keep you organized. That is the best way to keep track of your emotions. Use your color key and assign a different color for when you’re in a good mood, or when you’re having a blah day.

Tracking your mood can help you to evaluate your mental healthy and your emotional well being. It can help you look back on certain dates and think “Why was my mood so high or so low?'”. It can help you to regulate your emotions.

For example, I am trying to be more positive and less negative in my daily life. By looking at my mood tracker for the month, I was ready to look at different days where my mood was lower and try to figure out why I was feeling that way and change it in the future.
