This Summer Will Be Different is Carley Fortune’s 3rd book. It tells the story of Lucy, who is vacationing in Prince Edward Island. She meets a local named Felix who shows her a good time. But she has no idea that he’s her best friend’s younger brother. It would be completely inappropriate for them to continue things.
Every year she comes to Prince Edward Island for a break with her best friend Bridget. It’s the best place to relax and vacation. Lucy promises herself that she won’t be distracted by Felix and yet he always manages to caption her attention. When Bridget disappears to the island a week before her wedding, it’s up to Lucy to follow her and find out what’s wrong.
Lucy swears that she won’t get caught up in Felix while she’s there. But this time, he might just be too much to resist.
What is One Golden Summer About?
This is the most recent release by Carley Fortune. One Golden Summer is about Alice, a photographer. Althought she loves her life and her job, lately she’s been searching for something more. So when Alice’s grandmother breaks her hip, the solutions is obvious. Alice will go back to the lake, to take care of her grandmother in Barry’s Bay. Her memories from when she spend the summer there when she was seventeen have always been special to her.
While there, she reunites with a friend from her past: Charlie Florek. He used to be a shameless flirt. He always made Alice and her nan laugh. But now he’s all grown up. And when he fixes his piercing green gaze on Alice, she realizes that he may be the only one to truly see her. And that’s a lot.
