My 2025 December TBR List
It’s my favorite time of year. The weather is colder, which means it’s the perfect time to curl up on the couch with books and movies. I get to indulge in all of my favorite things like Christmas movies and holiday reads. Plus I have a bunch of other cozy hobbies to focus on like building legos, puzzles, and more.
But today’s blog post is all about my To Be Read list for December.
December 2025 TBR List
My Book of the Month Selections
If you’re new here, you might remember that I’m a proud Book of the Month member. I’ve been subscribed for a couple of years now and I just love it. It has helped introduce me to so many authors and books that I might not have heard about otherwise.
My December picks is Good Spirits by B. K. Borison. I also bought an add on which is Best Offer Wins by Marisa Kashino.
I just couldn’t decide! I’m hoping to fit both of these titles in this month and will make sure to post my reviews here on the blog when I’m done.

Good Spirits by B.K. Borison
I guess I would consider this a contemporary romance with a fantasy twist. It’s about a thrift store owner who is visited by the ghost of Christmas past.
Best Offer Wins by Marisa Kashino
Some might consider this a millenial horror story. Lol! It’s about thirty-something couple in the Washington DC area who sell their house during the pandemic, in order to purchase their dream home. But in a very competitive area that’s a lot more difficult than it originally seemed.
My Netgalley Selections
One of my goals for 2026 is going to be to catch up on all of my review copies that I have sitting on my kindle. So the other books I plan to read this month will be review copies that I still need to read and review.

We have 3 Netgalley titles that I’m hoping to get to this month! And two of them are foodie books. Dave and I have been watching a lot of Kitchen Nightmares lately (did you know it’s all on Youtube?) and I guess I’m just in the mood to read about food.
Salt, Sweat, and Steam by Brigid Washington
This is a memoir from the perspective of a student trying to navigate their way through culinary school. I’ve always been curious about what it takes to become a chef, so I thought this sounded fascinating. more info here
Will This Make You Happy by Tanya Bush
A book about baking. I’m only a couple of chapters in but it’s filled with stories and illustrations about the authors year of baking. It seems to be very vulnerable, with the author sharing a lot of feelings and thoughts about what they were going through at the time.
If there are recipes, I think I’d like to try to make one at the end!
Molka by Monika Kim
I actually hadn’t heard of this book or author until about a week ago. But I’m in a Netgalley group on Facebook and everyone was freaking out about getting approved for this one. So I decided to request it too. Haha I guess I had some reading FOMO going on. It appears to be a thriller and I like those, so I am looking forward to it.
In Conclusion
December is always a busy month with holiday get togethers and activities, so I’m challenging myself to read 5 books this month. I think that is a manageable number.
All of these titles are different but they all interest me in one way or another. What are you planning to read this month? Make sure you let me know in the comments!
