The Benefits of Coloring for Adults
When I was in Montreal a few weeks ago, we ventured into Librairie Paragraphe Bookstore, Montreal’s English Bookstore. I had so much fun walking around and admiring the shelves of books. I didn’t want to purchase any books because then I’d have to carry them around all day. But I was inspired by the below coloring book and decided to pick it up and bring it back to the United States with me. In today’s blog post I’m going to share some of the benefits of coloring for adults.
The Benefits of Coloring for Adults

My New Coloring Book
Before we discuss the benefits of coloring for adults, I want to tell you all about my new coloring book that I picked up. It’s called Cozy Cuties and is simply adorable. It features cute animals doing things, but in an adorable way? Like in some of the scenes they’re just hanging out and enjoying nature. In other scenes they’re doing chores or having a quiet day at home. It’s really cute and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
You can find more Coco Wyo coloring books on Amazon and on their website. They sell physical copies as well as printable coloring pages, if you don’t want the full adult colouring books.
My other supplies include this box of Pearl Crayons, but you can also use marker or gel pens for coloring too! I like vibrant colors but I felt that these muted pastels would just add to the cozy vibes of the book.

What are the Benefits of Coloring for Adults?
I used to think that only kids enjoyed coloring, but in the past 10 years or so coloring has become more popular with adults. And why wouldn’t it? There are so many positive benefits to coloring including:
- Stress Relief – Stressed? Why not sit down and color for a bit. It will be a welcome distraction from whatever you’ve been worrying about.
- Creativity – When you’re a kid, the main goal is to stay within the lines. But as an adult, you can focus on colors and being creative.
- Relaxation – Give your brain a break!
And don’t forget that when you’re done with you coloring sheets, you now have artwork to display. I think I’m going to take one of my pages from Cozy Cuties and hang it up by my desk in my home office. Why? Because it’s cute and it makes me happy!
Where Can I Find Free Coloring Pages for Adults?
One of my favorite places to look for free digital content is Pinterest. Bloggers, artists, and content creators love to share free activity sheets and adult coloring pages with their fans. So if you go on Pinterest and search for “Free Coloring Pages for Adults” you’ll find lots of good options.
P.S. I found some cool coloring pages with motivational quotes here.

In Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed today’s blog post about the benefits of coloring for adults. Just a couple of days ago I was feeling out of sorts after my grandmother’s funeral. I came home and turned on Ginny & Georgia on Netflix and settled in on the couch to do some coloring. It kept my mind busy and made me feel better, and that’s what adult coloring is all about!
