It was very rainy in Delaware this past weekend. S It was very rainy in Delaware this past weekend. So I got a lot of reading done 📚 ☔️ I finished my re-read of Absolutely Normal Chaos by Sharon Creech which was one of my favorite books when I was a kid. I related deeply to Mary Lou 😂 I continued to listen to the audiobook of The Hot Honey Hideaway. It’s not a super unique story but I’m finding it very charming. The cozy vibes are 💯 and it’s keeping me entertained on my daily walks. I read a few chapters of The Forty Year Grudge. This is book 2 in a mystery series about a detective and her assistant. I love it so far. In this book they are investigating a mystery at a sorority reunion. And finally, I started Big Fan. I’m not super into it yet but hope I can devote more time to it this weekend. ☺️ #books #reading #bookstagram #bookish #readinglist

My book of the month pick this month is Dissection My book of the month pick this month is Dissection of a Murder by Jo Murray! I hadn’t heard of this one before but the title really caught my attention. It’s about a lawyer who is in for a very interesting predicament when the defendant is dead set (pun intended) on having her defend him. Meanwhile, she’s up against a ruthless prosecutor who just happens to be her husband 😬 Sounds like a very interesting case to me! For my add on I picked Happiness & Love by Zoe Dubno. The cover made me laugh but I thought the plots sounded weird and fun. That’s what I’m hoping for 😂 #books #reading #botm #bookofthemonth #bookhaul

They had a section of the store with books about New Orleans and I’ve been wanting to start a new cozy mystery series, so it was fate! ✨ These are the first two books in the Vintage Cookbook Mysteries series by Ellen Byron. I have Bayou Book Thief next on my TBR (after I finish Helpless (kindle) and Project Hail Mary (paperback)) so I will share my thoughts in May or June at some point.
