10 Fall Romance Books to Read This Season

I’ve mentioned in the past that I’m a big mood reader, but I’m also a big seasonal reader. As the leaves start to change and the pumpkins come out, I’m ready to dive into some Autumnal reads. In today’s blog post, we’ll be discussing 10 fall romance books to read this season as Autumn approaches.

So Here are some Fall Romance Books to Read this Season

The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore

This book is a booktok favorite and one you’ll definitely want to read. It combines small town charm with spice romance. Keep reading for a full book description.

When Jeanie’s aunt gifts her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Café in the small town of Dream Harbor, Jeanie jumps at the chance for a fresh start away from her very dull desk job.

Logan is a local farmer who avoids Dream Harbor’s gossip at all costs. But Jeanie’s arrival disrupts Logan’s routine and he wants nothing to do with the irritatingly upbeat new girl, except that he finds himself inexplicably drawn to her.

Will Jeanie’s happy-go-lucky attitude win over the grumpy-but-gorgeous Logan, or has this city girl found the one person in town who won’t fall for her charm, or her pumpkin spice lattes… (from Amazon.com)

Fall I Want by Lyra Parish

Like Fall? Like Billionaires? Then this romantic comedy is for you. Lyra Parish is known for her spicy romances so be forewarned (in a good way) about this billionare romance. Full book description:

My first impression of Zane Alexander isn’t great. The second is worse, but when he forces me to hang out with him, I can’t say no. We quickly go from familiar strangers to flirty friends.

When my ex returns, Zane flawlessly pretends to be my boyfriend to protect me. He’s so damn good at it, I almost believe it. Afterward, we devise a plan to fake date through the holidays. I become his plus one and he becomes mine.

I don’t know when our relationship moves from pretending to passionate, but I catch feelings. As our exes desperately crawl back into our lives like zombies, I realize there is only one man for me, and (f)all I want is him. (from Amazon.com)

Falling Inn Love by Erin Branscom

New Hampshire? Inn? It’s giving Gilmore Girls for sure. Haha. If you’re looking for a cozy romance with Hallmark movie vibes you’ll definitely want to check this book out. Keep reading for full book description.

Beth is a struggling romance author who’s been trying to find her place in the world after the unbearable tragedy of losing her family. Unable to find peace other than in her writing, she ends up stranded by the side of the road in Freedom Valley, New Hampshire, where a strikingly hot, green-eyed, bearded flannel wearing innkeeper rescues her.

Evan, a former marine who took over his family’s inn after the sudden loss of his father, is struggling to keep afloat.

Running out of money, Beth agrees to help Evan run the inn in exchange for room and board, but she has no intention of staying too long and letting her guard down or anyone into her heart.

But there’s something about Beth that makes Evan believe he can be the man to give her the love that she deserves.

The more emotional walls Beth tries to put up, the harder Evan works to tear them down, using everything he can, including a pair of puppies he finds abandoned by the side of the road, to make her want to stay. (from Amazon.com)

Mr. October by Bethany Weaver

I’m a big fan of Abbott Elementary so this school teacher romance sounds perfect to me. Here’s what this autumnal novella is all about.

Halloween has come early in this steamy, friends-to-lovers, teacher/teacher romance filled with secret pining, fun hijinks, and quirky small-town feels.

Sabrina is no stranger to the Halloween pranks played around Grimsby, Indiana in the month of October. In fact, she is the recipient of nearly all of them. Usually, she would laugh it off and spend the rest of the month looking over her shoulder anxiously awaiting the next scare. But not this year. She’s ready to fight prank with prank…starting with her best friend and Grimsby High’s favorite history teacher: Mr. October. Pumpkin Spice and Not So Nice by Becky Monson

If you’re looking for a cute romance, look no further. I mean, the main character’s family owns a pumpkin patch. Does it get any cuter?

If I were ever to write a memoir, it would be titled, Jenna Peterson’s Guide to Dating Emotionally Unavailable Men. I’m like a professional at it. I’m so good, I can take any dysfunctional man and turn him into Prince Charming, just in time for him to dump me and then go on to marry the next woman he dates. I’m about ready to give up on loving real men and focus on lusting over fictional men in the Turkish dramas I can’t stop devouring.

But then . . . I find a mysterious fifty-dollar bill with a handwritten note on it that was donated to my family’s pumpkin patch by accident. And wouldn’t you know it, the mystery man it belongs to is emotionally unavailable, albeit freakishly attractive. I keep telling myself to walk away, but there’s something about Aidan St. Claire that makes me want to unravel all his secrets. All I know is he sure can heat up the cozy fall nights. I can’t help but think that maybe this time I’ll get to keep Prince Charming for myself. (from Amazon.com)

Autumn at Apple Hill by Angie Ellington

When I was looking for Fall romance novels that I wanted to read this season, this one caught my eye. Why? Because it’s been made into its own Hallmore movie. How perfect!

Elise Jacobs is ready for a change. A new beginning. Recently divorced, she relocates to her hometown of Landover, Maine to operate a bed and breakfast she inherited from her grandmother. After growing up with the fondest memories of her childhood being spent there, she relishes the chance for a fresh start and an opportunity to revive the inn. As summer gives way to Autumn, the inn is returning to its grandeur. A handsome guest sets out to challenge Elise at every turn. She knows the wealthy narcissistic type…or does she?

Luke Donovan is ready to trade banking for bon appetit with hopes of opening a bistro in a charming town he spent summers fishing with his dad and grandfather. Finding an obstinate innkeeper consuming his thoughts is more than he’d planned for a brief stay at the most idyllic home tucked within the rolling hills of an orchard. (from Amazon.com)

A Pumpkin and a Patch by Jennifer Peel

Another main character with a pumpkin patch. Count me in! Lol. I always love characters with fun family businesses. This one’s a little different though.

Every person has that one thing they’re known for, and it doesn’t matter what you do, that one thing—whether good or bad—follows you around like a bloodhound for the rest of your life. For me it’s a story I wrote when I was fifteen. Forever more I will be known as the Reece the Rogue Pirate girl, instead of Josie Peterson. Why couldn’t I be known for all the cute children’s stories I’ve written about my family’s pumpkin patch?

Tragically, the torrid story I wrote as a teen was based on a real person, Reece Cavanaugh. And guess what? He grew up to be a pirate—okay, lawyer. Same thing. To make matters worse, the man is representing my ex-fiancé who wants to steal my treasure, aka engagement ring. If that wasn’t the icing on the cake, Reece has an adorable daughter who happens to be my new student. That’s right, I must now have actual conversations with him after avoiding him for half my life, even by hiding behind banana displays when needed. But the more I get to know Reece—the real version, not the imaginary one who ravishes me on sandy beaches—I can’t help but wish we could roll around in the sand together. There’s a problem though, the school I work for frowns upon relationships between parents and teachers. And it’s pumpkin season, which means all my free time is spent on the family farm. But when he kisses me, I can’t help wanting to break all the rules and get tangled up in the barn. The burning question is, am I brave enough to make my story a reality or will it be another bad ending? (from Amazon.com)

A Not So Fictional Fall by Savannah Scott

I love books about writers and this one sounds especially good because the writer in question is a bis surprise, thanks to their pen name!

I live for happily ever afters.
And I’m finally meeting my favorite romance author in person!

Only, all this time, I thought author, Amelie De Pierre, was a woman.

It turns out, Pierre Toussaint is the man behind the books that make me weak in the knees.
He could be the consummate book boyfriend with his dreamy hazel eyes, strong jawline, and those black-rimmed glasses. Not to mention that accent. Oh, that French accent. When Pierre speaks, I feel like I’m curled in his arms on a riverbank being fed chocolate-dipped strawberries.

Not Pierre’s arms, of course. We barely just met. And I’m just me. And he’s Pierre, internationally renowned romance author.

Seeing Pierre in person has me stammering and blushing—two things I don’t usually do.

Imagine my surprise when I receive a call a few weeks after meeting Pierre—from his agent—proposing marriage. Not that I’d marry his agent.

They want me to marry Pierre. (from Amazon.com)

In Her Pumpkin Patch by Alina Jacobs

This title immediately caught my eye because of the pun. I just had to add it to my list of Fall romance books to read.

Plus the cover is adorable. In this book, a pumpkin spice lover must convert her surly counterpart to the wonders of Fall. Will it work? Penny isn’t sure yet. But with her job on the line she’ll leave nothing up to chance!
