Hello, readers! Today’s blog post is going to be a fun one. We’re going to be discussing the Winter Street books by New York Times bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand. I’m going to be sharing some information on the author, as well as a list of the Elin Hilderbrand winter books in order. That way you can compile a list of titles to check out at the library or at the bookstore.

You might have heard of Elin Hilderbrand before. She’s known for her beach reads that take place on the tiny isolated island of Nantucket, which is located off of Cape Cod Massachusetts. Her books are peppered with relatable characters, fantastic food, and realstic family dynamics.

Well, the Winter Series is no exception. Except this story takes place at Christmastime, which is off season on the island.

One of the best feelings in the world is when your favorite author comes out with a series! I’ve been having a lot of fun working my way through the Winter Street series. I’ve come to love the Quinn family and all of their issues. I think that Christmas chaos during the holiday season is something we can all relate to!

Who is Elin Hilderbrand?

Elin Hilderbrand is known as the queen of the beach read because she writes wonderful stories about relatable woman and their lives in Nantucket. Many of her books include beautiful descriptions of island life and the great food and activities on Nantucket island. I’ve been slowly working my way through her backlist. On this blog I’ve shared book reviews of 28 Summers, The Five-Star Weekend, The Hotel Nantucket, and Golden Girl. Up next I’ll be sharing full book review of the Elin Hilderbrand Winter Series and The Academy, which she wrote with her daughter Shelby Cunningham.

What is the order of Elin Hilderbrand Winter Books?

There are four books in the Winter Street series.

Do you have to read the Winter Street series in order?

While most of her books are standalone novels, these books are meant to be read in order. In the first book you are first introduced to the Quinns, and all of the characters that make up their family and community. As you continue on in the series you learn more about them and get to know them better.

Is Winter Solstice by Elin Hilderbrand a series?

Winter Solstice is part of the Winter Street series by Elin Hilderbrand. Winter Solstice is the fourth and final book in the series.

What is Winter Street about?

In Book 1 we are introduced to Kelley Quinn, the owner of the Winter Street Inn in Nantucket. He’s the father of four and his children are all grown up. But although he’s a proud father, everyone knows that just because your kids are grown doesn’t mean they have things all figured out. Patrick, Kevin, Ava, and youngest brother Bart all have secrets that they are keeping as Christmas approaches.

There’s no chance of a calm Christmas when Kelley walks in on his second wife Mitzi kissing Santa Claus! It turns out that it’s not just a song… it happens in real life too. The three oldest Quinn children are left to deal with their own personal dramas as well as their fathers. Meanwhile, Bart is stationed in Afghanistan with the marines, and completely unreachable.

Oh! And Kelley’s ex wive news anchor Margaret Quinn may be the only person who can help him.

Winter Street is filled with family drama, Christmas activities, mulled cider, and maybe a little (or a lot!) of chaos.

What is Winter Stroll about?

Winter Stroll is the second book in the Winter Street series. In book 2 Kelley Quinn is preparing for Christmas again. As he writes his annual Christmas letter for family and friends, he reflects on the happenings of his family. He’s single again and on better terms with his first wife Margaret. Meanwhile the kids have a lot going on as well! His son Patrick is adjusting to becoming a father, and his daughter Ava is in a new relationship.

It’s looking to be a great Christmas as the Quinn family prepares for the baptism of Patrick’s beautiful new baby, as well as the rest of the Christmas festivities on the island. But when Mitzi (Kelley’s wife from his second marriage) shows up after her relationship fall through, chaos ensues. But what’s a family holiday without a little unexpected drama?

What is Winter Storms about?

Winter Storms is the heartwarming third addition to the Winter Stroll series. After a rough couple of holiday seasons, things are looking up for the Quinn family. Mitzi has returned to the family. Patrick is about to be released from jail. Kevin has a new business and is ready to take the next step with his little family. But of course when the family gathers, things aren’t perfect.

But as with all Elin Hilderbrand books, other members of the family are dealing with personal struggles. The entire Quinn family is preparing for the nuptials of Patrick and Isabelle, the french housekeeper who he met at his father’s Inn.

What is Winter Solstice about?

Winter Solstice is the fourth book in the series. It comes after some time apart and the Quinn’s are happy to be back together for the holidays. Kevin and Isabelle are happing married. Patrick is back after his stint in jail. Bart is home safe from Afghanistan where he was deployed as a marine, and Ava has finally found a satisfying relationship.

These people finally deserve a break, right? Nope. Just like the rest of the book series the plot is filled with quality family time, new loves, and characters dealing with their own personal dramas. This may be utter chaos but that won’t stop the Quinn family from having happy holidays.

In Conclusion

I hope you enjoyed this blog post about the Elin Hilderbrand winter books in order. While many of Hilderbrand’s books are perfect for summer vacation at the beach club, this series is perfect for the holiday season.

Each book is filled with complex characters, family drama, Christmas activities, and holiday fun. Whether it’s a surprise guest popping in or endless rounds of Christmas caroling, the delightfully dysfunctional Quinn family will have you cheering and laughing. Each book has a story line that is completely unique and unpredictable.

Once you read this entire series, you’ll be obsessed with Elin’s book and want to keep reading the rest of her romance novels. There are a lot of them so if you enjoy her writing style, you’ll be entertained for quite some time!

But wait, there’s more!

If you enjoyed this post, you may enjoy some of my other Elin Hilderbrand book discussions.

So far my favorite of her works is The Five-Star Weekend, which is about a food blogger named Hollis Shaw. If you love reading about yummy food that is definitely the book for you!
